Study Groups
One aspect of St. John's that, in recent years has not been strong, are our home groups. Whilst regular home group(s) have continued to run this has been limited to one or two involving up to 12 people. Church members seem very busy people, so attendances at home groups are disappointing, those attending home groups benefit from the fellowship and faith sharing but many are unable to commit to a weekly meetings. Other short courses such as Alpha and ecumenical lent groups have been better attended (20-30) and have been beneficial in drawing people together and helping them to explore their faith.
