Prayers for the week:
Collect for today:
Almighty and everlasting God, you have given us your servants grace, by the confession of a true faith, to
acknowledge the glory of the eternal Trinity and in the power of the divine majesty to worship the Unity: keep
us steadfast in this faith, that we may evermore be defended from all adversities; through Jesus Christ your
Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen
We pray for our community, especially the needs of those people who live in Thornes Park, Bell Row, Closes Road,
Longroyde Road and Calder View
We pray for the suffering, especially Cynthia Jagger, Holly Ferguson, Geoffrey Nicholson, Douglas Hartley, Marie
Mayhew, Olive Breen, Ruth Helliwell, Ruth Sandiford, Geoff Hudson, Mrs. Eagan, Roderick & Elsie Barton, Susan Brown,
David Roberts, John Heyworth, Richard Mills, Pauline Millward, Hilary Norcliffe, Iain White and Lauren
We pray for a greater awareness and understanding of the needs- medical, social, practical, spiritual- of people living
with a life limiting illness and their families particularly those who are receiving care in Overgate Hospice
We pray for the families and friends of those who have recently died : Joan Peaker and Peter Farrar

A very warm welcome to everyone attending any of our services today, or throughout the coming week
